The Hardtip Hand Chipper is used on the flat smooth surface of a stone only. (Sawed smooth or polished) The blade is placed at a slight angle and struck with a hand hammer. This tool is used to acquire a finished straight edge. Misuse will fracture the carbide. *Heavy duty chippers are available for stone masons.
